Siamés Bilingual Sounds Session with Byron Gonzalez
Discussing the new album Melodramatic
Recorded in The SoCal Sound Studios, performing 4 songs + Interview with Byron Gonzalez
Bilingual Sounds program director and host Byron Gonzalez welcomed Argentinian band Siamés to The SoCal Sound studios for a Bilingual Sounds session.
Siamés has reinvented itself, as an evolution of the band, with the addition of Serge as the new lead vocalist alongside Barbie. Fittingly, the first song performed is “The Phoenix”, which is a song that symbolizes the rebirth, and new chapter for Siamés.
Some of the concepts behind the album is the bands unique ability to blend saturated emotions with infectious melodies. Coco explained, "In Argentina, we’re so passionate about everything, and everything turns into either a huge drama or immense joy. We wanted to capture that in this album."
The conversation also touched on the band’s recording process at Sonic Ranch, the largest residential studio in the world. Siamés emphasized the importance of recording live with their full band to capture their onstage chemistry. "We didn’t want to rely on tricks or overlays—just the raw, authentic sound of us playing together," Serge noted.
When asked about the connection they hope to foster with their audience, Coco shared, "As artists, we take the time to feel deeply and express it through music. Most people are too busy to stop and process their emotions, so we hope our music speaks for them."
Siamés performed 4 songs; “The Phoenix”, “My Way”, “Alone In The Darkness”, & “Baby Dont Give Up”
