Hosted by Joelina Garcia, a Los Angeles-based artist, songwriter, singer, and musician whose passion for music extends from the stage to the heart of the industry. Joelina and her dedication to independent music began at just 14 years old when she started volunteering at The Smell, the legendary all-ages venue that has helped launch countless artists and foster Los Angeles vibrant DIY music community. As a teenager, she also worked alongside Minty Boi Presents, helping promote local musicians, organize shows, scouting talent, and create a thriving space for emerging artists to showcase their work.

Known as the frontwoman of the alternative shoegaze band Lysithea, Joelina approaches music through the lens of both an artist and an advocate for creative communities. Her experience spans multiple areas of the industry, including serving as a Music Coordinator at Frisson Sync, where she helped connect artists and music with placements in podcasts, film, television, and other various media. She is also a member of the Sponsorship Team for the Guild of Music Supervisors, supporting initiatives that bring together music creators, music supervisors, coordinators, and industry professionals.

Earlier in her career, Joelina interned at Sumerian Records, gaining hands-on experience within the independent music industry. During her time there, she worked alongside teams that supported and promoted acclaimed artists including Poppy, Sleeping With Sirens, Circa Survive, Palaye Royale, I See Stars, Bad Omens, and Animals As Leaders, gaining valuable insight into artist development, music marketing, and the evolving landscape of alternative music.

Through Last Requests with Joelina, she combines her industry knowledge, artistic background, and lifelong commitment to independent music to create a platform where artists can be discovered and celebrated.
